MICROBIOLOGY & SANITATION

Microbiological testing of microorganisms that are found in food products can assist manufacturers in ensuring that raw materials, components, ingredients and final products are safe for the public to consume.

At STC, our microbiologists carefully examine food products according to relevant standards to help prevent potential food poisoning outbreaks and identify possible contamination, spoilage organisms, pathogens and biotoxins.

Other than food products, consumer goods such as cosmetics, one-off feminine products, chopsticks, toilet paper, etc. need to comply with different requirements when placed on international markets. STC is capable of performing antimicrobial effectiveness testing on various surfaces, such as textiles, fabrics, plastics, metals and ceramics consumer products to ensure that everyday products and necessities are safe to use in every aspect.

The hygiene and sanitation of production supply chains are also critical as any sort of contamination along the line can affect the final quality and safety of the end product. To assist manufactures in ensuring that their final products meet quality expectations and safety requirements, STC also provides on-site swab sampling, testing and hygiene audit services at every stop of the way.
