With the aim of sharing our expertise in testing and certification with the lighting product industry, STC delivered a seminar today on Energy Efficiency Certification and Testing of Lighting Products for the Global Market at the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo held in AsiaWorld-Expo. During the seminar, we discussed the regulatory requirements for the energy performance of lighting products, as well as the minimum energy performance requirements and energy label and general technical specification requirements for specific products.

“STC’s laboratory owns comprehensive testing equipment for lighting products, and it has received accreditation from Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) to provide China Compulsory Certification (CCC) Mark services for toys and electrical products, including lighting products. We are delighted to have the opportunity to share our expertise in lighting product certification,” said Mr. Dickson Mak, Senior Technical Manager of STC.

The 23rd Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) takes place from October 18-20, 2018. MIF is the first local exhibition in Macao certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), and is one of the most reputable annual international economic and trade events in Macao. Under the theme of “Cooperation - Key to Business Opportunities”, MIF leverages on Macao’s advantages as a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure as well as a premium business and trade services platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries to facilitate business development, transformation and entrepreneurship for its participants. MIF covers exhibition, forum/conference, business matching and SME platform in one event.

STC is delighted to be a supporting organization of the MIF forum on “The Future of Cross Border New Retail – O2O Commerce + Supply Chain Finance + Verification for All”, which was held on October 19. Participants of the forum discussed the challenges and opportunities along with other issues concerning O2O commerce development, including market barriers, cultural differences, financial support, anti-counterfeiting and traceability. Dr. Franki Lee, STC’s Director of Corporate Sales and Business Development, was one of the guest speakers of this event.

For sharing our expertise in Electrical Products Certification with the industry, today STC delivered a seminar onInternational and China CCC Testing and Certification for Electronic Products at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. During the seminar, we discussed about International Approval and Regulatory Requirement for Electronic Products Testing, including China Compulsory Certification (CCC) Mark approval criteria, certification requirement for major International markets, and general technical specification requirements.

For sharing our expertise in food testing with the industry, today STC delivered a seminar on Molecular Testing in Food Industry at the Hong Kong Food Expo 2018 held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.  During the seminar, we discussed about different food testing and methodology such as testing on Foodborne Microbes and Foodborne Viruses, species identification, Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) testing, and testing of Animal-derived Ingredients in food.
