With the aim of sharing our expertise in testing and certification with the lighting product industry, STC delivered a seminar on “Energy Efficiency Certification and Testing of Lighting Products for the Global Market” at the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo held in AsiaWorld-Expo on 31 October 2019. During the seminar, our Senior Technical Manager, Mr. Dickson MAK, shared his professional knowledge and experience related to the regulatory requirements for the energy performance of lighting products, as well as the minimum energy performance requirements and energy label and general technical specification requirements for specific products.
“STC’s laboratory owns comprehensive testing equipment for lighting products, and it has received accreditation from Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) to provide China Compulsory Certification (CCC) Mark services for toys and electrical products, including lighting products. We are delighted to have the opportunity to share our expertise in lighting product certification,” Mr. MAK said.
On October 22, 2019, senior executives from the Japan Toy Association (JTA) visited STC Hong Kong headquarters and exchanged information of the latest Japan toy safety requirements.
STC participated in the Hong Kong Electronic Fair 2019 (Autumn Edition) held by the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition on 13-16 October 2019. CCC (China Compulsory Certification) and Medical Devices were the main themes this year.
Free Technical Advice Sessions were also launched on 14 October 2019. Our technical experts, Dr. LEE Kam Chuen, KC, General Manager and Mr. Dickson Mak, Senior Technical Manager shared their valuable experience and advice with participants.

In collaboration with BSI (British Standards Institute), STC is delighted to invite you to join the "Managing Regulatory Submission Pitfalls and Ways to Avoid Them: A Practical Perspective" seminar. The seminar offers a variety of sessions covering the latest regulation, quality assurance and testing standards of the medical device industry.
STC participated in the Hong Kong Food Expo held by the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition on 15-17 August 2019. This time, the focus was on food safety testing, nutrition labeling and testing of proprietary Chinese medicine ingredients.
In addition, a “Testing and Certification Service for Food Seminar” was held on 16 August 2019. Ms. Joey Lau, Senior Manager of the Department of Chemistry, Food and Pharmaceutical of STC, was invited to share the experience of the relevant verification services with the guests.
