Hong Kong Proposes To Update Safety Standards For Toys And Childrens Products

2024-02-07

In a paper in December 2023, the Hong Kong Commerce and Economic Development Bureau described the Proposed Updates to Safety Standards for Toys and Children’s Products, as listed in Schedules 1 and 2 of the “Toys and Children’s Products Safety Ordinance” (Cap. 424).

These intended updates are proposed because many international standards (or standards adopted by major economies) for toys and Schedule 2 products have recently been updated or amended.
