Taiwan Cancels Voluntary Product Certifications on Four Children's Playground Products
On 26 September 2025, the Taiwan's Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI 經濟部標準檢驗局) issued a Notice (經標檢政字第11430019260號) to cancel the requirement for the implementation of voluntary product certification on the following 4 products for children's playground.

After this cancellation notice, certification for the aforesaid playground products will return to the original stricter BSMI certification schemes: “Monitoring Inspection or Registration of Product Certification (Mode II + Mode III) 監視查驗或驗證登錄(模式二加模式三)”, if the product design is within the scope of Annex A to CNS 4797:2019 “Safety of Toys (General Requirements)” (CNS 4797 玩具安全國家標準所規範供 14 歲以下兒童玩耍遊戲之 附錄 A).
Effective Date
The withdrawal described in this Notice has become effective from 26 September 2025.
